The FIHL, due to continuing demand to open registration for a third season, has released the following press release.

“The FIHL is officially launching its third season, FIHL III which will be called “Take Over” The process was determined by an increased demand for the league and its format so the idea was to release the combine registration now to gauge true interest. The Combine at this moment will be held on July 9th, location to be determined. More details to come as we approach. It is open to birth years 2003 to 2008. It will be a one hour test of skills and skating that will help the coaches decide who they want to draft. ALL PLAYERS that have tried out for travel teams and did not make the cut for the fall season will have a spot in Take Over. The cost is 50.00 for the combine.”

“The FIHL provides a massive opportunity for increased ice time, in game coaching, and development. Several players from season one, are now playing Travel, Junior, College and Club Hockey. Nearly half the FIHL roster moved up and on after the inaugural season and we expect another large group to do the same this season. The FIHL is an AAU league and all players will be registered as AAU players which will open more doors and opportunities for hockey. The FIHL works hard to put tournament teams together as well during the regular season and does not run games on tournament weekends for that reason. There is a lot to the FIHL, if you are interested in registering for the combine, click on this link, FIHL – Florida Independent Hockey League – Tampa Youth Hockey to register and learn more about the league.”
